"Formula LADA" has in its essence the technical base of the Formula 3 - an international class of racing cars, which for drivers is one of the stages along the way to the summit of the autosport - Formula-1. From the Formula 3 were taken - the general construction of the car, the chassis, the gear box, the telemetry system.
The principal difference concerns the engine: in place of the foreign production's two liter engines, LADA uses in Formula the Russian engines with cubic capacity 1600 cm³ (production of VAZ)
However, despite of the common technical base, the Formula LADA cars differ from the Formula 3 ones generally in car set-ups.
The "formula" competitions are very popular all over the world. These single-seater cars are created specially for the participation in the races. Today they are the fastest in the Russian ring races.
In contrast to mono-series, where compete the cars of the one producer, Formula LADA - is the constructors class. According to the technical conceptions, this class is similar to Formula-1. The team engineers aren't limited with the chassis choice and can use the cars of their own design or to adapt already existing ones.
