In 1997 Vladimir Cherevan and Dmitriy Zorin won for Lukoil Racing team the title of the best team of the Russian Touring-1600 (the first place was divided between the teams "Lukoil Racing" and "Miller-Pilot") with the cars VAZ 21083.

One year later, the LUKOIL RACING team drivers Vladimir Cherevan and  Nikolay Mezentsev took the first and the second places in the Drivers Championship and ensured the first place for LUKOIL RACING in the Constructors Championship of the National racing series ASPAS - 98 (the class Cup 1600).

In 1999 Nikolay Mezentsev became the Russian Champion, while Vladimir Cherevan was the bronze prize-winner. The team became the winner of the Russian Championship 1999 and of the Constructors Championship.

In  2000 Nikolay Mezentsev became the silver prize-winner of the Russian Touring 1600.

The season 2001 was the most lucky for the team. Well co-ordinated work of the collective as a whole, excellent driving of the team drivers Alberto Scilla and Alexey Dudukalo let to finish the Russian Championship with the victorious double in the Drivers Championship and with the first place in the Constructors one.

In the season 2002 the team gained again the victorious double in the Drivers Championship and the first place in the Constructors one.

In  2003 LUKOIL RACING gained the victories in the Constructors Championship of the Russian Championship and Cup. The team pilots won the double in the Russian Cup, the first and the third places in the Russian Championship. The only difference was that the Russian Champion became Alexey Dudukalo and not Alberto Scilla as it was in  2001 and 2002.
